Best of the Northwest Workshop Details

<p>WORKSHOP SCHEDULE: Workshops begin Friday evening at 7:30pm with the first of three instructional sessions. Saturday and Sunday include both location shooting sessions (morning and afternoon) and instructional programs (times can vary). A detailed schedule, maps and other information is provided Friday evening. The workshop concludes Monday after a morning location shooting session. ACCOMMODATIONS: Participants make their own reservations for accommodations. A host hotel provides the meeting room for instructional sessions and usually offers a discounted rate on rooms if you mention you are with the photography workshop. You will be given the number for the host hotel and other options for accommodations when you call to register. We encourage you to make your reservations for accommodations early. We may be able to assist in setting up shared room situations if you tell us of your interest. MEALS: Participants are invited to meet informally as a group for some meals at local restaurants. Grocery items are also available nearby. Because these workshops are intensive weekends with long days, you may want to bring healthy snack food for breaks between sessions. TRANSPORTATION: Participants are responsible for their own transportation to the workshop locations. We may be able to assist in setting up carpool situations if you tell us of your interest. EQUIPMENT: Most participants shoot digital SLRs. A list of recommended equipment items is provided on request and to all registering participants. DIGITAL &amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp; FILM:&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;nbsp; There are mostly digital shooters and a&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;nbsp;rare film shooter. PROCESSING/CRITIQUE: Participants are invited to bring previous work for inclusion in group reviews and for an optional individually scheduled portfolio review. Each instructional session begins with a review of participants previous work. Printed work may be shared at the beginning or the end of the sessions. A laptop is available for digital review. INDIVIDUAL PORTFOLIO REVIEWS: Each participant is invited to schedule an individual portfolio review with David. Preferred portfolio is a laptop or thumbdrive, or not more than 20 prints work also. A laptop will be available at the review. TO REGISTER: Reserve your space by phone. The registration fee for each weekend workshop is $600 ($675 National Parks).
